Considering recent developing events caused by the COVID-19 pandemic across the world, many golfers will be wondering how the current rules and regulations have changed and will this affect them from enjoying the sport. Around the world, there have been many event and golf course closures, with recently the 149th Open golf championship being cancelled and the US Open postponed until September at the earliest.
Here at Big Max Golf, we understand the concerns many of you will have on venturing out to enjoy some time on the green during this ongoing situation and the challenges it presents. We are still able to provide your golfing needs with all orders still shipping within 24 hours of your order. You can rest assured that our service carries on as usual for anything you need, whether it be push carts, cart or stand bags and any golfing accessories.

Walk, Distance, Play Safe Golf
We want to ensure that if you’re planning to head out and your favourite golf course remains open, that you need to follow some simple steps to ensure your safety as well as others. This way, you can support your local golf club by avoiding any further disruption and possible golf course closures at this time. Although golf is close to everyone’s hearts here at Big Max, citizens’ health and safety are most important to make it through this time.
All you need to do is remember 4 words:
Walk, Distance, Play Safe.
Whilst out on the course, walk as much as you can instead of using golf carts. Many clubs have already put restrictions on the use of golf carts to stop the spread of the virus from surfaces to other members. Walking the course is better for everyone, including your own health.
Continue to practice social distancing; remember to stay at least six feet away from other golfers around you. This is the equivalent of two clubs end to end, even if who you are playing with are members of your household or family. Remember, any usual social interaction such as handshakes, hugs or high-fives should be replaced with alternative means such as a wave, nod or touch of elbows.
Think about what you normally do as part of your game and whether you can adjust anything that involves touching surfaces others may contact. There are many variations and innovations of doing so, but some of the simpler things include leaving the flagstick in the hole when on the green, no ball washers and no use of rakes in bunkers. Keep in mind that any surface or item you touch could be touched by someone else.
